State Championship 5/2/155/4/2015 Congratulations to friend and Crappie Reaper pro staffer DeWayne McCord and his father Robert on winning the Tenn. State Championship this past weekend on KY. Lake. The father and son team of Robert and Dewayne McCord, first time Crappie Masters participants, won the Stren Tennessee State Championship on Kentucky Lake with a two day total, 14 fish limit, of 24.77 pounds. The McCord duo were pulling a combination of jigs and crank baits along channel ledges with BnM Poles strung with Stren Crappie Mono in 25-31 foot of water while catching their crappie 12-14' deep during both days of competition. The team was fishing from a Ranger boat equipped with a Mercury Motor, Minn Kota Trolling Motor, and Humminbird Electronics. The win earned the McMords a check for $6900.00, which included a $500.00 bonus, donated by the Missouri Corn Growers Association and American Ethanol, for using E10 gasoline in their boat.
